Many Causes of Foot Pain

Monday, 07 January 2019 00:00

The symptoms of itchy and burning sensations in the feet may be indicative of an uncomfortable foot condition that is referred to as Athlete’s foot. In severe cases, the skin may become irritated and raw, and the toenails may be negatively affected. Another type of foot pain may originate from blisters that may form on the toes or on back of the heels. This may be a result of wearing shoes that do not fit properly, in addition to standing or walking for extended periods of time. Patients who have bunions are familiar with the bump that forms on the side of the big toe and may often be aware of difficulty in walking. Additionally, a common form of foot pain may be related to plantar fasciitis and will typically be felt in the heel and surrounding areas. If you are experiencing any form of foot pain, it is strongly advised to consult with a podiatrist who can provide expert guidance on the best course of treatment.
